keep your insides happy.
keep your insides happy.
life can be really simple if you want it to be. we over complicate a lot of things by over thinking them to death. hopefully these next few words can serve as medicine for getting your thoughts on a different wavelength.
yesterday we gathered to spend time together as brothers playing Yu-Gi-Oh! the trading card game. we sat for almost two hours going back and forth taking turns vanquishing each others monsters, falling into snares, and casting our most powerful spells. we existed in our own world inside the game and out.
we are a family. we have been growing together for quite some time. being able to spend quality time like this together makes life all the sweeter. the quality of life you desire can be met with intention. you are where you want to be. sometimes we get caught up asking for more, when in reality we have just enough all the time. it’s healthy to improve your way of life. it’s even better when you have friends that have the same progressive mindset.
surround yourself with the people who inspire you to be successful.
we found splendor through walking a block from where we sat and played cards. that’s one of the many perks of living in New Orleans, you don’t have to look too far to spot beauty or some form of art. its exists all around us. all the time. every dynamic.
we turn every moment into opportunity.
the sunset matched our iconic evening together. brilliance and bliss. this is what it meant to simply exist. shortly after we paraded to the Healing Center where we awaited the Monday night poetry. it’s always such a pleasing environment at these poetry night gatherings. you are literally missing out if you’re neglecting that atmosphere.
greetings and hello. we started our day by sharing our morning with Sanath. we planned our rendezvous at the Louis Armstrong park for a few photos to showcase our latest addition of color with the FIG WEAVER design. together we enjoyed a cup of coffee talking about the upbringing of cvlt aesthetics and how this project began. Sanath is a brilliant soul. our journey began crossing paths briefly while we were set up selling art in our usual spot on Decatur street. he actually reminded us this was how we met. we reconnected via email when he was inquiring about artwork about a week or so ago.
this morning we discussed how terrifying it could be embarking on journeys we were unfamiliar with. usually it’s in the most uncomfortable situations we find bliss along with our initial reason for seeking this higher plane. we talked about how our paths in life often meet at repeating crossroads, and the ultimate challenge is to overcome the emotion that steers this vessel.
we went on about how some things are inevitable -but they are lessons and it’s our duty to grow from them.
Sanath introduced himself at our #ARTCVLT gathering last Wednesday to promptly obtain a tee shirt, meet the artists, and enjoy the show. thinking about his sincere support for our project makes us really warm inside. it returns that childlike essence of a school crush, because deep down- we’re in love with everyone who goes out of their way to support this vision.
together we make this a reality.
Sanath is a martial artist and software developer. we give you our blessings as you bestow them unto us. we hope the leap to come to New Orleans was the right one. so far you have been enjoying it, now that our paths have crossed we hope to see more of you.
thank you for your time.
if you are on our mailing list please check your mailbox for “firstname.lastname@example.org” or “cvlt aesthetics” and add us to your contacts. right now our emails are going to spam and it’s making it harder to communicate we feel.
we live to create.
the mint green color for FIG WEAVER is one of the exclusive selections. we have vintage black available to the public currently. contact us if you want to claim a limited edition tee.
we are falling apart and decomposing each and everyday. every day we make the choice to contribute to the world or take from it- for the world will tirelessly take from you. almost every second. as we create, we are destroyed. we highly advise to not look in this as becoming a fearmongering concept. sometimes we need to be reminded of our mortality in order to achieve a certain level of success. we are gifted each waking day to impact the world in some shape or form. it’s what you do with your time here that matters the most. this project is aimed to bring this mindset to light- there’s a certain level of destruction that is healthy, and there is a certain level of existential dread that can bring about the most dramatic changes in your life for the better.
you are responsible for how you choose to spend your time- we spend our time creating… each and every day. seriously- each day we are crafting at head quarters in our little art house in New Orleans, Louisiana. you can visit- or even send us mail. (address is listed in the footer of our news letter, contact us before coming over- it’s polite) if you are having trouble coping with a few harsh realities of life, feel free to message us or email to: email@example.com, we are very responsive to email and we are wanting to develop a true artistic family.
thank you for your time, below are a few selected photos from creators we have been developing a relationship through the #artcvlt tags on instagram, or photographers we personally picked.
